Happy New Year!
Well, for everyone's information my old Garmin 910xt is about to break down due to wear and tear. That was really a great device to track your cardio sports and subsequently maybe able to share all data on your social network. I would have it fixed but opt to try out some of the newer and cheaper gadgets in the market right now.
A colleague of mine referred me to get the Amazfit BIP Smartwatch (by Xiaomi) since it can also track my runs and cycling too. I was very interested in getting this gadget and so eager to find out if the data can also sync to my current strava account. Unfortunately the MI app that comes with it cannot BUT some great genius out there created a 3rd party app which grabs the gpx file from the MI apk and push it to Strava!
Some specs of the watch:
Always-on reflective 1.28 inch color touch display
2.5D Corning gorilla glass generation 3 + AF coating
Optical heart rate sensor for heart rate zones
Geomagnetic sensor (compass)
Air pressure sensor (barometer) for elevation
GPS + GLONASS for route tracking
20 mm standard width changeable watch band
IP68 rating - resistant to dust, rain and splashing
190mAh Li-Polymer Battery
1.1 ounces (31 grams) total weight
Charging time: 2.5hrs
Price: Php3,000
Here are some photos of the Amazfit BIP:

And then another app to be installed which acts as a conduit to sync 3rd party sports app:

And my quest to sync with my Strava account... BOOM!

Hope this baby last long as I have high hopes and expectations. Well, let's see
Ride safe guys!
