Bad experience on the Tannus Airless Tires for Folding Bike 20" x 1.5"

3 weeks ago I purchased a new set of Tannus tires for my 20" folding bike since I am using one for my roadie. It so happen that most of the reseller of Tannus here in Philippines doesn't carry the 20" variant, they only carry 700x23c.
So the next step is to go to their local online store and ...order it online. I accessed this site: http://mscsphilippines.com/index.php/product/thoroki-treaded-tires/
and luckily found what I wanted. But it was not for a folding bike but for a mini-velo, though technically based on the rim size they are both the same.

The model was the Tannus Thoroki Treaded with a size of 20" x 1.5". I was already ok with it until the tires were delivered. People from MSCS Philippines were very quick and easy to talk to, they delivered the item the next working day!
The package contains 2pcs of 20" tires, 3 sets of pins and a tool lever. This cost Php3,050.00 including a Php100 delivery fee. Not bad if the longevity of the tire will last for 5,000 miles or 2years of use - I'll buy that!

I also discovered that there was a (40-406) embossed on the tires meaning this should technically fit a 20" - 406 type of rim (which is exactly the one I am using)

The problem came in during installation, apparently the tire needs to fit a 406 with a minimum 19mm-20mm internal rim depth and most of the 406 rims available in the shops that i went supports 18mm. So meaning you really need to find this first prior to purchase -- which was my bad since i didn't research properly. We tried almost 6 types of 20" 406 rims from the cheaper single wall type to the expensive double wall but to no avail.
The photo below shows one of the authorized mechanic trying hard to fit the tires into an 18mm rim set.

At the end of the day, it was my fault i didn't do my proper research so i had to return the items and have it replaced with another product instead. Lesson learned. But I will still continue to do my folding bike project soon...
RANT: I hope that the guys from MSCS Philippines would also indicate these very important information on their online store to prevent mishaps like what happened to me from happening to other buyers. With no information about these from the resellers, the next best info will definitely come from the manufacturer itself right?
Ride safe everyone!
